More about Ashleigh

Licensed in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Choctaw Nation

  • Ashleigh grew up as the oldest of four in the River Valley area. As a kid, she played basketball at Pocola and rode horses with the Greenwood Round-Up Club and Old Fort Days Dandies. Her favorite memories from her childhood are trail riding with one grandfather and talking news and politics with her other grandfather. As a teenager, Ashleigh was active in local theater productions with the Fort Smith Little Theater and Southside High School. She graduated with Honors from Southside High School in 2003

  • While attending college at the University of Arkansas, Ashleigh fell in love with the Razorbacks and never missed a football game. Her favorite days at the U of A, though, were in the Spring when the weather was just right for a day at Baum Stadium. Her senior year was spent working on her thesis titled, “The Impact of Women in the Arkansas State Legislature.” Ashleigh graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2007. She then went on to attend the University of Arkansas School of Law that same year.

  • As a law student, Ashleigh was a member of the National Trial Competition and American Association for Justice mock trial teams. In 2009, she and her trial partner became the first all-female team to win first place in the William H. Sutton Barristers’ Union Trial Competition at the University of Arkansas. She also served as Secretary of the Board of Advocates. She graduated and earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2010.

  • After law school, Ashleigh worked as an Associate with the law firm of Leitner, Williams, Dooley, & Napolitan in Memphis, Tennessee where she gained valuable trial and courtroom experience in trucking, car wreck, slip and fall, and other personal injury cases. Her heart led her back home to Fort Smith in 2012 when she began her career as a prosecutor. She worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Sebastian County and tried jury trials in felony and misdemeanor cases. Ashleigh was most passionate about prosecuting crimes against children and domestic and sexual abuse cases. This passion Ashleigh her to work as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Arkansas while focusing on cases under the Project Safe Childhood Division. She prosecuted the worst of offenders who produced child pornography and sexually exploited children online. She also represented the United States in many appellate matters and has argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

  • Ashleigh specializes and is experienced in representing people in the following types of cases:

    Car wrecks

    Motorcycle wrecks

    Trucking wrecks

    Pedestrians hit by a vehicle

    Slip and fall injuries

Sexual assault and rape on behalf of the victims

    Medical malpractice

    Real estate disputes

    Construction and remodeling disputes

    Breach of contract

Appeals – both federal and state

  • At home, Ashleigh is a proud boy mom and wife. Her two sons, Will and Ben, keep her on her toes more than any opposing counsel ever could. She loves her dog, Charlie, caring for her senior horses in their retirement years, reading good books, and Broadway musicals. The Razorbacks still stress her out but she loves them anyway. You can find her every weekend at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith - she’ll probably be the one with the loudest kids.

More about William

Licensed in Arkansas, Oklahoma,
Tennessee, & Choctaw Nation

  • The oldest of four children, William grew up in Athens, Tennessee, where his dad was a lawyer and his mom was a teacher. From an early age, he knew that he wanted to be a lawyer just like his dad. However, the best career advice he ever received was from his mom who always reminds him that the best lawyers are those who are responsive to their clients’ needs and phone calls.

William was active in sports and and other community activities, but his favorite hobby was and is still meeting new people. William doesn’t meet a stranger, and he relishes the lessons he learns from his discussions with people who are different from him. Before leaving Athens to attend Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, William served as his high school’s student body president.

  • William flourished at Xavier where he was active in the campus community and met many life-long friends. While at Xavier, his classmates elected him to serve as Student Government Association president.

  • William pursued his goal of becoming a lawyer by attending law school at the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the law review and voted president of the Board of Advocates. He was a member of the National Trial Competition team for two years, and he was elected by his classmates to receive the Bogle-Sharp Award given to the student most likely to succeed in the practice of law.

  • William is experienced in representing people in the following types of cases:

Meet Judi

Judi Franks is the first person you will meet when you walk through doors at The Buckley Firm. She is an accomplished Paralegal with over ten years of experience in the legal field focusing on personal injury cases. She has also worked in other areas such as criminal, contracts, family law, medical malpractice, and real estate cases in both the pre-litigation and litigation phases. Judi has developed a reputation for her compassion and commitment to all the clients we serve.

Judi is dedicated to her job as a Paralegal to provide the best outcome for all our clients.  She works tirelessly with them in navigating their cases to help alleviate the stress of being in a car wreck and injured without a vehicle to drive. In fact, she knows more about insurance procedures and working to get clients into rental cars to have their cars fixed or replaced than most lawyers!

Judi is passionate about helping others in and out of the office. When she is not working, she can be found spending time with her family and friends.  Spoiling her grandchildren is her greatest pleasure.
